Thank you so much! I am honoured :). As far as apprenticing, I would say practice drawing/painting every day. Look at tattoos you like, try to re-create them on paper (I like watercolour but I hear prismacolour pencils are a favourite of many people). Keep a portfolio to show potential shops :)
I am from Modesto, ca. The shop I work at is called Vindicated Tattoo :)
Thank you! All these are watercolour. I work in oils a lot, but since starting my apprenticeship last December I have been focusing on watercolours more to learn a thing or two. If you’re ever in the area and you want a hands-on tutorial, hit me up dude. I’m down :)
Thank you! It’s an adventure. I dig adventures :)
Thank you sir! It is absolutely lovely to hear when someone really understands what I’m doing. It makes all the sleepless nights worth it, it lessens the blow of having missed every good show for the last few months lol.
For you to say MY artwork inspires you means so much to me, seriously. Recently I have come in contact with other artists who do amazing subculture art, and most of them are jaded and not creating. So when I hear stuff like that, it totally feels like I am doing exactly what I need to be doing.
Thank you for the vote of confidence!!! I can’t wait to see my girls and my other paintings as tattoos, how cool is that?!? And being able to tattoo them myself soon is just surreal! I am like, the luckiest skinbyrd ever :)
